♪ We both reached for the gun ♪

Well, we're leaving today!  Actually, we were supposed to leave like 45 minutes ago, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one awake.  Guess I should probably wake them up... I'll do it when I'm done with this entry
I've been listening to a lot of Regina Spektor lately.  She's very eclectic... it's entertaining!  She's one of those artists that you can't really fit into a genre; although, I'm sure someone else will copy her style and then it won't be so unique.  Oh well.
Anyway, we'll spend the night in Minneapolis and then board a train to Chicago, so we'll be there between 3 and 4 tomorrow afternoon.  Then it's drop our luggage at the hotel and wander the streets!  My friend, Brad told me about a record shop that I have to visit.  Don't worry, I will!  We'll be going to a few museums, an aquarium (I can't wait to see the penguins *cute*) the Handcock building and... WICKED!!!  I've been reading the book and listening to the CD like crazy!  I'm so excited!!!

Anyway, I supposed I have to go be an alarm clock now.
Instead of a Word of the Day, I'll leave you with this:
You are my sweetest downfall,
I loved you first, I loved you first
Beneath the stars came falling
On our hands,
But they're just old light, they're just old light
Your hair was long when we first met.
~Samson, by Regina Spektor

I'm Back...

So, I have no idea if anyone missed me, but even if you didn't, I'm trying out the blog thing again, so deal with it!  It's been somewhere around 8 or 9 months since my last blog.  So what's happened to me in that time?  Hm... not a lot, really.
I cut off all of my hair... I just got a poem published, like today!  I turned 21... got a job at Subway where I work almost every weekend until 3:30 in the morning so I see a lot of drunk people but can't join them... I started taking French... I moved in with Brandy, Andy, Cyndi and Michelle... I'm leaving for Chicago in 2 days!  We're going for spring break... I'm still really liking UND... Oh yeah, and I'm starting a vocal jazz group here.
So, that's pretty much my life in no particular order.  More later!
Word of the day: spurious.  LOOK IT UP!

1/7 of my life is Monday...

Ever since the VTech tragedy, the government has been reading my xanga EVERY DAY!!!  It kinda bugs me.  I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE AND I'M NOT A TERRORIST!  Grr.  So, that probably made it worse and now they're gonna think I'm gonna blow up my school or something.  Well, I'm not.  I'm actually very happy with UND.  I love the people here, campus is pretty awesome and I like that it's in town.  I'm gonna be living really near next year, too.

I'm definitely gonna miss everyone this summer.  I decided to go back to ATown and work at 3M again.  It's not something I'm looking forward to, but my dad says that production is catching up to demand, so I can probably take some weekends off this summer, which I will need!  Anyway, back to missing stuff... I'm always in the music department!  Don't know what I'm gonna do without it.  And of course, I'm only gonna get to see my friends when I get a weekend off... hopefully in July I can start moving my stuff up here.  Next summer, I'm definitely staying in GF.  That way, I'll be able to visit some of my friends (Molly and Sarah, most likely and maybe Brandy if she stays in town) whenever I want and I won't have to move all of my shit!  That's what I'm really looking forward to.  So, that's my almost-done-with-school rant for this year.

Word of the day: waiver... cuz I'm hopefully getting a tuition waiver if I can make an appointment this week!  That would be nice.  Then all I'll have to worry about is rent.  Oh bliss.

Stop crying your heart out.

I have a place to live next year!!!

What do people from China call good plates?

So, Easter.  Yeah, it was cool I guess.  I didn't get to go home until Saturday night because I had to work at Menards until 4.  Went to church with my friend on Sunday morning then hung out at home with the fam.  I have lots of leftovers now!  Taige and I hung out a bit... watched some movies (LOTR, of course) and played with our cats.  Then on Monday I hung out with some people and then ate lunch with some more different people before coming back to Forks.

Still in love with Jared Leto.

We're cat-sitting this week!  His name is Burt and he cuddles A LOT!!!  He slept with me for an hour and a half last night before Tom came home.  He's sleeping in Tom's room cuz that's where his food and litter are.

I miss Aslan.

Word of the Day: Se7en... cuz I'm going to watch it this week.  I've got it until Thursday.  Hellz yeah, renting movies.
